Hey guys, just wanted to get a feel for the new members here. How long have you been gaming/role playing and what systems do you play? What are your thoughts on realism in gaming?
I've been gaming/role playing for about four years now. I'm familiar mostly with Pathfinder and Dark Heresy. I've played D&D 2nd and 3rd addition, but I hate 4th. While I've played others, none really spring to mind. Aside from that, I've played a few home systems that a good friend of mine has created and greatly enjoyed them. When it comes to realism, I prefer common sense over all. Hit points are essentially a moot point, they depict how tough your character is, but if he gets thrown from his horse, botches a tumble/reflex roll and lands on his neck, he's dead. Time to draw up a new character. Overall, I have a great time gaming with people that use their brain and don't try to solve every situation by swinging an axe at the problem.
